Forget the ninjas and rock stars, we need more community

A recent blog post by Jed Schneiderman came across my feed. It encouraged people to focus on supporting each other rather than trying to stand out as a ninja, unicorn or disruptor.

While it is certainly important to recognize individual accomplishments, it is even more important that your team works together as a community moving in the same direction. I’m reminded of our volunteers at the Farm City BBQ. When we need something, our team’s first response is: “How can I help?”

Farm City is just one day, but it’s an event that reconnects so many people on a deeper level.
