Etiquette is for all occasions

The Naples Yacht Club hosted a Professional Dining Etiquette program for nearly 30 young ladies with The League of Courageous Women.

The club’s membership director, Brenda O’Connor, was joined by Mayor Bill Barnett in sharing the main philosophy of etiquette guidelines: to make others feel comfortable.

In addition to learning which order to use forks and knives, the young ladies were reminded of several important life lessons. Mayor Barnett let them know that whenever he has dinner with his wife, they turn off their phones.

This Thanksgiving, we encourage all families to turn off their phones and enjoy each other.
