Waste Management encourages you to prepare for hurricane season

hurricane preparation

There are simple steps that you can take before a storm hits to help you recover after the storm and ensure our drivers can resume services as soon as it is safely possible.

Preparation starts with trimming your trees and hedges throughout the season so that weak and damaged branches are disposed of well before a hurricane warning is issued. Also, plan to store your garbage and recycling containers so that debris doesn’t inadvertently get spread by high winds.

After the storm, separate normal household garbage such as food waste, diapers and household trash from storm debris for quicker collection.
