Over the past few months, we’ve shared news about critical issues impacting courts around the state with updates on HB 977 and its impact on budget issues.
Even though the revenue generated by our office for court functions more than covers our expenses, we are still struggling to provide essential courthouse services due to continuous budget cuts and a flawed funding system from the CCOC that takes our revenues and redistributes them to other counties.
Since FY2005, a total of $29,998,612 in Collier County’s court fees have been provided for funding of all Florida Clerks.
