The Leadership Coalition on Aging has launched its 2019 Senior Empowerment Series to prepare seniors, their families and trusted caregivers to make informed decisions about their future.
The May 16 program, “Caring for the Caregiver – Avoiding Caregiver Burnout,” reminds families to consider the financial needs of the partner who may become a caregiver too.
“For most people, their home is their largest asset. Explore ways to tap the equity to pay for the care you may need,” offers Rick Gow, certified senior advisor with Lara, May & Associates.
The coalition offers expertise from 50 SWFL-based organizations, nonprofits and government agencies.
