Celebrate the USA with a contest for kids

For this Fourth of July, get your kids involved in the cooking or baking process to celebrate America’s birthday. Create a dessert-decorating competition so that they can get their creativity flowing while feeling like they’re part of the traditional cooking process that takes place on Independence Day.

The competition setup is quite simple. All you need to do is bake some sugar cookies and buy red, white and blue icing and sprinkles. Then set a timer and let your kids get to work.

The best (or worst) part is you can be the judge and try their festive desserts.
