2024 will be the year of the drone. We’re talking drone deliveries. Now that some regulation issues have been solved, retailers, medical centers and logistics platforms will begin offering more drone deliveries in the burbs. This means fewer trucks on the road as well as less carbon emissions.
Amazon Executive Chair Jeff Bezos first experimented with drones in 2013. Today, he says the company’s goal is to make 500 million drone deliveries by 2030. Until now, Amazon has been operating in only two communities in California and Texas.
The FAA will be working to establish new rules to make drone deliveries routine.
