Fort Myers’ arts and culture grant program is open

In cultivating the cultural, educational and economic well-being of its population, the city of Fort Myers provides funding for arts and cultural programs. The grant program is administered by a public art committee.

Grants are available for individual artists that are making a meaningful contribution to the local art community. Artists must live or work within city limits.

Grants are available for nonprofit organizations that produce a cultural program or festival within the city limits. Funding ranges from $5,000 for projects or programs to up to $10,000 for operating grants.

The deadline to apply is Jan. 18.
