Youth Violence Prevention Partnership engages students

by

The United Way of Lee, Hendry, Glades, and Okeechobee and the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Myers have partnered to reduce youth violence through the Youth Violence Prevention Partnership.

The initiative focuses on giving grants ranging from $500–$2,500 to local youth-centered organizations or communities that propose youth violence prevention programs with clear and measurable objectives.

Proposals will be accepted through Jan. 18, 2019. A student committee will then review grant applications and select projects to receive funding. The emphasis for the project is in providing long-term solutions to develop support networks, education and protective community environments.
