A dream is a wish that your heart makes. Erin Decker had one such dream come true as the lead dancer in Naples Ballet’s recent performance of Cinderella.
Decker’s path to the stage was certainly challenging, having been diagnosed with aplastic anemia, a rare blood disease, at the age of 9. Her treatments included a painful bone marrow transplant. Today, she is a healthy teen who shares her passion for being on stage.
“I love the feeling I get when I dance. It’s unexplainable, but one of the best feelings ever. I also love inspiring people through dance,” says Decker.
