A new study by the social network for professionals found that women seeking the C-Suite life start to lose steam after the first 10 years of their careers. They looked at 20 countries and the share of women in leadership roles didn’t reach 50% anywhere.
This 10-year time frame coincides with the time many working women are thinking about having babies. Sociologists call it the “motherhood penalty.” The study also suggests we race past this silly mindset because, well, girls rule!
