Conducting elections is never easy, and to throw a Category 4 hurricane just ahead of a General Election makes the task even more difficult.
Nevertheless, we did it – and by “we,” I mean not only my staff, but also the hundreds of volunteers who helped at the polls, our community partners who helped us get out the vote and, of course, the voters who made casting a ballot a priority even in the aftermath of Hurricane Ian.
