If you are planning a Labor Day barbecue, you might want to start your day with the Gulf Coast Runners.
Not only will you burn off the extra calories and make some new friends, but you will also help support the organization’s Youth Running program and scholarships. In 2018, the organization awarded over $40,000 in scholarships.
The 5K run has a 7:30 a.m. start time. If you have younger children with a lot of energy, you can help them burn it off at 8:30 a.m. with the Kid’s 1K Fun Run.
Register early, as the price will increase on Sept. 1.
