The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) needs your help investigating a neurological disorder detected in SWFL panthers and bobcats.
If you have trail camera footage or videos of panthers that are walking abnormally or having difficulty coordinating their back legs, submit them online at MyFWC.com/PantherSightings.
“While the number of animals exhibiting these symptoms is relatively few, we are increasing monitoring efforts to determine the full scope of the issue,” said Gil McRae, director of FWC’s Fish and Wildlife Research Institute.
To date, the condition appears to be localized in three areas of Collier, Lee and Sarasota counties.
