DLC and Home Base SWFL team up to expand access to PTSD treatment for veterans

by The 100 Companies

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is especially acute among war veterans. Recent veterans are at higher risk of suffering from PTSD than those in the general population and they face unique barriers to accessing treatment. The COVID-19 pandemic created a “perfect storm” that threatens the mental health of many veterans, particularly those with pre-existing mental health conditions like PTSD.

Through a collaboration with Home Base SWFL, DLC will now provide cognitive processing therapy (CPT), a gold standard treatment for PTSD. Three DLC clinicians completed Home Base’s rigorous training program.

The training was funded by a Community Foundation of Collier County grant.
