Florida Department of Health and United Way of Charlotte County have unveiled the 2020 Community Health Needs Assessment in conjunction with other community providers. The assessment was conducted over a four-month span and incorporates 1,367 resident surveys.
This number may seem small, but it’s over 3.5 times the amount of surveys required based on the population of the community.
Nine focus areas were narrowed to five based on the prioritization criteria of feasibility, impact and community assets. The areas of focus in Charlotte County for 2020 will be: child abuse and neglect, social-emotional health, transportation, environment and the age gap.
