Over 34% of Lee County middle and high school students reported they have tried vaping.
“According to the 2018 Florida Youth Substance Abuse Survey, the number of Lee County teens who reported using e-cigarettes in the past 30 days was more than 10 times the rate of those who used traditional cigarettes,” said Prevention Specialist Kathy Wynne.
The School District of Lee County invites parents to learn about the signs and dangers of vaping:
• Sept. 12, 6 p.m., Cape Coral High School.
• Sept. 16, 6 p.m., Varsity Lakes Middle School
