Shy Wolf Sanctuary’s land purchase nears final rezoning approvals

In the agreement, Shy Wolf Sanctuary will finalize the contracted purchase of 17 +/- acres (yellow), Collier County receives 10 acres (pink) and Crown retains commercial development on 13+/- acres (blue). Overall commercial square footage on the full PUD will be reduced from 190,000 to 50,000.

For the past two years, Shy Wolf Sanctuary Education and Experience Center has been diligently working through the redevelopment process to finalize the purchase of 17+/- acres in the Estates Shopping Center PUD.

The final acquisition of the property, which will allow Shy Wolf Sanctuary to expand its campus, is tied to the approval of the proposed zoning changes to the Estates Shopping Center PUDA and Randall Curve PUD. The zoning proposals will be reviewed by the Collier County Planning Commission on Oct. 7 and Collier County Commissioners on Oct. 26.
