
September 11, 2021 marks the 20th anniversary of the attacks on the World Trade Center, The Pentagon and the crash of Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
The public is cordially invited to join in remembering and honoring the first responders and civilians who were lost that day.
The event begins at 6:30 pm. with a flyover by Air Force veteran and pilot Major Jessica Sterns followed by a brief invocation/prayer. This ceremony is brief as there is no seating and social distancing will be practiced. The public is asked to please practice best CDC guidelines.
Complementary white luminaries, which may be personalized, and flameless candles will be provided free of charge throughout the evening. The luminaries will be placed around the memorial and will remain lit throughout the night.

For attendees at the candlelight remembrance this evening, there is additional parking 1/4 mile west of the Freedom Park entrance at the Iberia Bank building on the corner of Goodlette Frank and Golden Gate Parkway.
Please consider bringing water and a chair as refreshments and seating is not provided.
