Saluting small businesses

When we think of small businesses, it’s fun to imagine the Etsy entrepreneur or the graphic artist working from home.

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, small businesses have less than 500 employees, and depending on which program you follow, they make less than $35.5 million per year.

On average, 78.6% of small businesses last through their first year. That number drops to 51% in five years, while 1 in 3 last more than 10 years.

It pays to think big and innovate, especially if you’re a small business that is looking to grow and last.
