Do you know how to dispose of batteries in Collier County?

by The 100 Companies

Batteries, such as lithium batteries, can be hazardous for several reasons, primarily due to the chemicals and significant stored energy they contain , making them potential hazards at home if they’re not properly stored and disposed of.

Proper disposal of batteries is essential to prevent environmental contamination and reduce the risk of fires or other hazards. Batteries should never be thrown in garbage or recycling carts.

When disposing of batteries, you should consider Retail Take-Back Programs and Collier County Recycling Drop-Off Centers. These centers accept all types of batteries for FREE recycling Monday to Saturday from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
