Apply for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program

by The 100 Companies

The Charlotte County Human Services Department started accepting applications for assistance with electric bills and will continue to accept applications until all funds are expended.

Assistance is available once in a 12-month period to help offset the high cost of home energy to eligible households based on monthly gross income, households with power off, a past due bill, final notice or security deposit.

Due to limited funding, priority for the LIHEAP program will be given to households with at least one member who is age 60 or older, has a disability or is a minor.

To apply, visit Charlottecountyfl.gov/fastrack.
