When you go to your search bar and type “greatest painter,” most of the time it yields a list that is all male. Pantene’s new tool seeks to remove male bias in online searches.
S.H.E. (Search Human Equalizer) is a web-browser plug-in that seeks to inform without bias. It works on the back end by filtering and reordering the results, including some of the world’s greatest achievements made by individuals that happened to be female.
Pantene’s “Power to Transform” initiative celebrates and gives visibility to women who transform lives and the world around them every day.
