Last month, Governor DeSantis appointed Melissa R. Blazier as Collier’s Supervisor of Elections following the retirement of longtime Supervisor Jennifer Edwards.
Blazier has worked at the elections office for over 17 years, most recently as chief deputy. Her experience includes more than 40 municipal and county-wide elections.
As chief deputy, she oversaw the daily operations of the office and its more than 20 employees, led the office through 20 successful manual audits, as well as multiple redistricting projects, and has overseen the office’s budget, including the 2023-2024 $5.1 million dollar budget.
