During 2018, short-term visitors staying in paid lodging establishments that collect the Collier County tourist development tax created over $2.1 billion in economic impact within Collier County.
Despite losses felt by the red tide outbreak late last summer, the year ended on a positive note, and the first-quarter 2019 peak-season results are outpacing results from 2018.
Visitor satisfaction ratings of 96.1% show that the over 39,000 people employed thanks to tourism in Collier County continue to deliver stellar services and products that keep our guests happy and ready to recommend our area to others.
