Editor and columnist to discuss evolving media roles

The Public Relations Society of America, Gulf Coast Chapter will host Brent Batten, Naples Daily News editor, at its monthly luncheon on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2019. Batten will speak on evolving media roles and his position as an editor, columnist and reporter.

Brent Batten joined the staff of the Naples Daily News in 1985, as a police reporter. He has also served as the paper’s court reporter, Lee County bureau chief and city editor. He began writing a regular column for the newspaper in 1997. His column appears three times per week. He also writes editorials and leads the paper’s editorial board.
