Collisions encourage creativity and collaboration

by
collaborative workspace

In developing a culture of innovation, Zappos CEO Tony Hsieh intentionally built inconvenience into the company’s headquarters in Las Vegas. The layout is meant to encourage employee interaction and spontaneous collaboration.

If you would like to encourage more creativity and innovation, try rearranging your office to incorporate:

• A large, communal table for people to gather.

• Plenty of seating options for different people to feel comfortable.

• Televisions and video conferencing capabilities in open spaces, to make it easy to exchange information.

Don’t forget to include quiet areas for your team to focus on implementing their new ideas and growing the business.
