Plan your event with safety in mind

Three might be a crowd in some people’s minds, but Florida Fire Prevention Code has defined a gathering of 50 or more as a crowd that requires a certified crowd manager.

If you’re planning an event with over 50 attendees in a building or tent, code requires a certified crowd manager on-site to ensure fire extinguishers are present and in working order, that exits are maintained and to have other measures in place so everyone can enjoy the event safely.

North Collier Fire Rescue District offers a training class each month. The next one is set for Aug. 20.
