Volunteers needed at Everglades National Park

by The 100 Companies

In partnership with Keep Collier Beautiful and our Summer Cleanup, Everglades National Park is requesting volunteers to help remove invasive Seaside Mahoe from the park grounds.

Ten volunteers are needed for this special project, which will take place at the Gulf Coast Visitor Center, located at 815 Oyster Bar Lane in Everglades City. The project will run from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, or until weather permits.

Volunteers should bring work gloves, water, snacks and insect repellent. Closed-toe shoes are required. Long pants and a long-sleeved shirt are recommended for protection against insects. Tools will be provided.
