The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) recognized Collier County’s exceptional recycling efforts at the Florida Recycles Day Ceremony.
At the ceremony, members of Collier County’s Solid Waste Division accepted the distinguished award for achieving the State Statute Recycling Goal of 75% – a remarkable milestone that only three counties in Florida have reached.
In addition to this honor, Collier County was also presented with the Recycling Champions Award. This award highlights the county’s industry-leading recycling services and programs, which have set a high bar for sustainability and environmental responsibility.
We thank the community for their continued support of recycling efforts.
