On Sept. 22, Collier’s Board of County Commissioners adopted the $1,959,954,000 Fiscal Year 2023 budget.
It’s important to recognize the budget must fund service expansions required by the ever-growing population in Collier County. It also addresses the ongoing need to maintain aging infrastructure, further compounded by extraordinary inflationary pressures.
We can achieve long-term financial sustainability by supporting a stable workforce, continuing to re-invest in the amenities that distinguish Collier County as one of the most desirable places to live and developing a measured response that provides new facilities to serve our burgeoning population.
