As our generous community plans year-end charitable donations, we urge prudence in researching charitable calls for support. From small social media crowdfunding initiatives to solicitations from large organizations, vetting the charities that will benefit from your generosity is a must to ensure that your precious dollars are going to the right place.

Avoiding fake charity scams is also necessary so that contributions made are deductible in your tax returns.
