SSYRA Book Elections are back!

Every year, we work with Collier County Public Schools to conduct elections for their annual SSYRA program – a statewide reading motivational program for students in K-8th grade.

After students read a selection of books, they vote for their favorite title using voting equipment. Then, the results are compiled across the state and announced by the Florida Association for Media in Education (FAME).

Our goal for this program is to introduce the voting process to young students, demonstrate how our voting equipment is used during elections and connect students’ experiences with us to the lessons that they learn in their classes.
