Watermelon juice with basil and lime (from NYT Cooking).
Ingredients:
• 1 small, cold watermelon, seeded and roughly chopped into 2-inch pieces
• 4 to 6 basil leaves Juice of ½ lime (Optional) alcohol of your choice to make a cocktail (we suggest light rum or tequila).
Preparation:
Fill a blender halfway full with watermelon chunks, add the basil and lime juice then pulse on low until the ingredients are mostly incorporated. (Now add your choice of alcohol to make a cocktail, or leave it out for a refreshing and healthy “mocktail”). Blend on high for 10 to 15 seconds and serve immediately.
