Planned renovations will reduce housing capacity for Collier County’s Domestic Animal Services (DAS). The organization is calling on residents to help by volunteering to temporarily foster animals or bringing a new furry family member home through adoption.
Through this renovation process, DAS will focus its efforts on caring for surrendered animals that are sick and suffering. If you have a healthy animal that needs to be surrendered, please delay the surrender as much as possible.
Additionally, animal control officers are magnifying efforts to reunite healthy, stray animals with their owners before transporting them to DAS.
