‘Les Misérables’ in under 5 minutes

Last year, my family made a commitment to celebrate the arts more with a subscription to the Artis-Naples Broadway series.

While my daughter is a dancer, the Broadway shows give us a different perspective on the beautiful stories of tragedy and triumph.

We cheated and watched “Les Misérables” on DVD so that we would understand the storyline better. It opened up dialogue on how people sink to rock-bottom but have the opportunity to rise above their circumstances.

She still doesn’t understand the story depth, but it opened a new door and new appreciation for music and life.
