History through the eyes of a Veteran

With a short drive to Punta Gorda, you can visit one of Southwest Florida’s treasured museums. The Military Heritage Museum’s mission is to promote understanding and respect for the service and sacrifices of men and women in all five U.S. military branches.

With veteran-led tours through four galleries housing 30,000 artifacts, visitors catch a glimpse of the evolution of military life spanning three centuries. Through interactive oral history exhibits, guests can also hear personal accounts. The museum houses a Hall of Heroes, which recognizes Florida’s Medal of Honor recipients.
