Chief Curator, Brent Newman will provide insight into Edison’s primary factory and laboratory complex where the great inventor did the majority of his work. He will go into the background of Edison’s earlier life before coming to Fort Myers and the work he did leading up to the construction of his main laboratory complex in New Jersey. This talk will also include a discussion of the common features of Edison’s laboratory in New Jersey, some of the work he did at that laboratory and the history of the lab’s construction and the staff who worked for Edison at that location.
