There is a rich history of women administering elections in Collier County.
The first “Supervisor of Elections” was Edna Cribb Santa, who served until 1981. Supervisor Mary Morgan took office after Santa’s retirement and then I was appointed in 2000 after Morgan’s retirement. The first election under my watch was the landmark 2000 U.S. Presidential Election Bush v. Gore, which was won by 537 votes in Florida.
Thank you to the many women who make history every day whether working in our office or at the polls, helping voters exercise their right to vote – we cannot conduct elections without you!
– Jennifer Edwards, Collier County Supervisor of Elections
