Weddings are trending back to ‘normal’

by The 100 Companies

According to a recent survey by The Knot, some 2.6 million weddings will take place in the United States this year, more than any other year since 1984.

The boom follows a record number of pandemic-related cancellations, postponements, elopements and, yes, even Zoom weddings. In 2022, the average number of guests is projected to be 129, which is in line with pre-pandemic numbers, averaging 131.

The wedding planning site claims couples are also spending more for their nuptials, averaging $28,000 on the ceremony and reception and an all-in cost of $34,000. October 22, 2022 is the most sought-after booking date among couples.
