Waste Watch trained drivers rescue 83-year-old Port Charlotte resident

by The 100 Companies

Two WM Waste Watch trained drivers took swift action to protect an 83-year-old Port Charlotte resident in distress.

Alex Galarza and Paulino Ortega were on their regular route when they noticed an elderly man laying at the end of a driveway, trapped underneath a golf cart.

After securing their vehicle, they called 911 and provided first aid for the distraught man who was showing signs of hypothermia. They learned he had been trapped under the golf cart for more than seven hours. Galarza and Ortega wrapped the Port Charlotte resident in garments to warm him until medical attention arrived.
