When Larry Berg, senior district manager at Waste Management (WM) heard a news story about teachers needing school supplies, he knew exactly who could help.
WM’s team of drivers, mechanics and operations staff routinely collect donations for local nonprofits. So, Berg printed a list of school supplies from the Collier Schools website and rallied the WM team to support students and teachers at Sabal Palm Elementary School.
“Part of what makes WM so special is the people. We love to live, work and support our community,” said Berg.
The school’s leadership team knew exactly where the supplies were needed most.
