Waste Management driver puts out house fire

by The 100 Companies

Eunice Warman, a Waste Management driver in Charlotte County, was providing a quote to an Englewood resident last Wednesday when she noticed smoke and flames coming from a neighbor’s house. She immediately called 911 and then used the fire extinguisher from her truck to put out the fire before firefighters arrived. Warman’s quick action prevented the fire from spreading further and protected both the homeowner and her dog.

A 14-year employee of WM, Warman was one of the first Waste Watch drivers certified in Charlotte County. The program trains drivers how to respond if they witness emergencies or suspicious activity.
