Keep Lee County Beautiful held its first waterway cleanup since Hurricane Ian in collaboration with the Mound House and Moss Marina.

The cleanup was a huge success, with 8,367 pounds of trash and debris removed by volunteers in over 30 kayaks, 10 boats and 40 walkers and shoreline helpers.

Since the storm, Keep Lee County Beautiful volunteers have removed over 42 tons of trash and hurricane debris from land across the county with 23 tons being from Fort Myers Beach.

Volunteers were treated to lunch from Wahoo Willies and entered into a drawing to win tickets on Key West Express.
