USACE calls for additional community participation to address coastal storm risks

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) invites the public to attend upcoming information meetings for the Collier County Coastal Storm Risk Management Feasibility Study.

The study will identify and evaluate measures formulated to manage the risk of coastal storm surge flooding to residents, industries, businesses and infrastructure in Collier County.

Three public meetings are currently scheduled:

Wed, June 21 (5-7 p.m.) – Marco Island Police Building

Thu, June 22 (10 a.m.-noon) – South Regional Library

Thu, June 22 (5-7 p.m.) – Naples Regional Library

Meetings start with a presentation followed by an open-house-style forum.
