Togetherhood Initiative unveiled in Immoklaee

by The 100 Companies

Community partners recently unveiled the Togetherhood Initiative. Recognizing the need for preventive medical care and wrap around services, non-profit leaders came together to serve the people of Immokalee.

Meals of Hope is the lead agency, providing the physical location for the Togetherhood Initiative, but the office offers much more in terms of nutrition education, diabetes supplies, pediatric dental services and routine testing. Additionally, ongoing therapies for child development, autism and Parkinson’s will help support the overall health of the community.

The resources to support the programming will come through a blend of philanthropy and medical reimbursement sources, such as Medicaid.
