Drunk driving is the number one cause of death on our roadways, with 29 people dying daily as a result of crashes. During the holidays, this issue is intensified.

With safety as one of its core values, Waste Management in Collier and Charlotte counties has partnered with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in the campaign to educate the community and advocate for sober driving and safe roads.

The “Tie One On For Safety” campaign runs from Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day. Trucks display red ribbons and magnets, calling attention to the urgent need to stop drunk, drugged and distracted driving.
