Think twice before posting “Back-to-school” photos

by The 100 Companies

Before you post your child’s photo for the “back-to-school” obligatory social media post, think twice. Scams and breaches have spiked over the years and perpetrators are using data from social media.

Lookout, a cybersecurity company, offers these tips to keep your information private and secure:

• Limit the information you share online. Never divulge any personal information.

Check your privacy and account security settings. Customize controls for online accounts and devices. Never set your account to public and be careful with granting authorization to third-party apps.

In choosing passwords, never use any personal information that could be found in your posts.
