SWFL events commemorating the 20th anniversary of Sept. 11

Saturday marks the 20th anniversary of 9/11, and those in Southwest Florida can commemorate the day at these public events:

• 8:30 a.m. ceremony at Caloosa Sound Convention Center in Fort Myers.

• 11 a.m. Remembrance Ceremony at IMAG History & Science Center.

• 11 a.m. “Celebration of the American Spirit” at the Shell Factory.

• 8:30 a.m. ceremony with fire and police departments on the lawn outside City Hall Council Chambers in Cape Coral

• 6:30 p.m. candlelight remembrance with luminaries at Fred W. Coyle Freedom Park in Naples.
