As a child growing up in Kentucky, my grandparents took me to the Poke Sallet Festival. The festival lit our small town up, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
In researching Hendry County, I was excited to learn about the history and charm of the Swamp Cabbage Festival in LaBelle. This exciting event with a 53-year history will include a fishing tournament, pageant, parade, music, rodeo and much more.
It’s a short drive for most of us, so join me in celebrating some small-town, nostalgic charm at the Swamp Cabbage Festival, held at the waterfront Barron Park.
